This composition contains Omeprazole and domperidone which is used to treat chronic gastritis and controls the emesis, gastric emptying. They also provide relief from helicobacter infections.

Omeprazole falls under the class of antiulcer drugs and further to proton pump inhibitor. This drug is used in the treatment of gastric acid-related disorders and is well tolerated.

Domperidone Hcl is known as dopamine receptor antagonist. It acts on the D1 and D2 receptors which are present on the chemotrigger zone. It increases the gastrointestinal peristalsis and also it leads to the release of prolactin.

Mechanism of action-

Omeprazole inhibits the H+K+ATPase pump present on the surface of parietal cell and thus inhibit the gastric acid secretion.
Domperidone acts on the D1 and D2 receptors and blocks its activity. domperidone increases gastric emptying and decreases bowel transit through peristalsis.
